The region offers many wine experiences, tastings at various cellar doors, meet the wine makers, enjoy a cheese platter at Yarra Valley Dairy, a cheeky sweet treat at Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery or lunch at one of the many winery restaurants while taking in the views of the valley.

The Yarra Glen Racecourse is home of the Yarra Valley Racing Club, popular during Spring racing season. The Racecourse is also used for Polo, Rodeos and other family friendly events.

The town of Yarra Glen offers a selection of antique shops, an art gallery, independent boutique stores, supermarket, cafes and the Grand Hotel where you can enjoy a delicious meal and live music. There is also a popular Farmers Market each month.

Yarra Glen has a Primary School and a Pre-School and is about a 15 minute drive to the high schools in Lilydale.

Within the town residential area properties vary in block size, as there has been subdivision in recent years, and there are acreage properties beyond the town centre.
