About Badger Creek
Badger Creek is a small town on the outskirts of Healesville in Victoria's Yarra Valley around 53km east of the Melbourne CBD.
Badger Creek is home to the Healesville Sanctuary and backs onto the significant Coranderrk bushland. The suburb name is derived from the early settlers use of the word 'badger' to describe the wombats regularly seen in the area which also has wonderful walking tracks and amazing bird and other wildlife.
The local Primary School is near the Sanctuary, and there is a public bus servicing part of the area.
Visit The Badger Creek Blueberry Farm for wine made from 100% blueberries! Fresh and frozen blueberries available also plus a range of homemade preserves and condiments.
