About Clifton Springs
The Clifton Springs Golf Club, featuring stunning views over Corio Bay, is entered from Clearwater Drive.
Clifton Springs Primary School was established in 1989 and is situated in Jetty Road. It has an enrolment of approximately 400 students.
Named after mineral springs which were found in the area during 1870, Clifton Springs which is situated close to Drysdale and Corio Bay spans a diverse coastline consisting of a mixture of steep cliffs, sandy beaches and rocky outcrops.
It has its own boat harbour protected by a breakwater and scenic walks with views to the coast and the You Yangs mountain range. A secluded Picnic Area is next to the Clifton Springs Golf Course with shelters in areas close by with large expanses of open lawn which extends right down to the sandy beach.
Beacon Point Road leads north to walking tracks in both directions through a public reserve along the tops of the cliffs.
There is a small collection of shops in Pinnaroo Avenue with a major shopping facility in neighbouring Drysdale.
