Donald McKillop commenced his real estate career in 1992 as a wide-eyed, young and enthusiastic salesperson at EJ Doherty Niddrie. When EJ Doherty opened in Taylors Lakes, Donald transferred offices and was the first salesperson employed and is now one of the longest-standing staff members in the group of the Barry Plant network.
Donald is the perfect example of someone who has come up through the ranks, starting as a young salesperson, becoming an auctioneer and moving into a management position. In 2003, Donald realised his dream of owning his own franchise when he opened the doors of the Werribee office.
He has since expanded the Barry Plant brand by opening the Tarneit office with his now business partner Rick O’Halloran in 2012, further enhancing the red carpet experience in the City of Wyndham.
Since opening Werribee and Tarneit, Donald has built extremely successful businesses. Market leaders in the City of Wyndham, Barry Plant Werribee and Tarneit have won several awards and are consistent performers in the network's top 10 offices. Donald aims to be the best, not the biggest, and he is certainly realising that goal.
