At the Barry Plant 17th Annual Awards for Excellence, held on the 22nd of September at Crown Palladium, Barry Plant Mitchell Shire took out the award for Outstanding Office of the Year.

This is a unique award in the Barry Plant line-up as the winner is voted for by all the office principals in the group. Principals were provided with a short list of offices and information on sales and property management performance for the year, how many staff they had, whether there were any customer complaints to Head Office and the attendance at training of the staff.

The Mitchell Shire territory has three offices at Wallan, Kilmore and Broadford but they are all run under a common administration system from the main Wallan office.  Principal Simon Best is thrilled with the win.  “I’ve got a really sensational team and they are all totally focused on providing our clients with the best service – and if you do that, you can’t go wrong.”

With just 18 staff across the three offices, the Mitchell Shire group of offices are both efficient and effective in delivering their services.  On the night the office also picked up awards for Highest number of total sales in their category (up to 700 properties), Highest number of private sales in that category, their sales people Brendan Flynn and Sarah Fraser came 2nd and 3rd respectively on the Top Seller with no PA category, and their Senior Property Manager, Maria Page won a Director’s Recognition Award.

At the Gala Awards Event, their achievements were acknowledged in the presence of more than 920 people from across the Barry Plant network, who gathered to celebrate another year of phenomenal achievement.
