Christmas comes early for buyers and sellers
As I’ve said before in these posts, one of the best things about working in real estate for as long as I have is the opportunity to make a positive impact on so many people’s lives.
Whether we are helping people to take their first step on the property ladder when securing their first home or assisting people to take subsequent steps on that journey when buying their next home or selling their current one, it’s a role that brings enormous satisfaction.
However, I have to say it gets even more satisfying when you are able to help those first home buyers take that step in the shadows of the festive season, knowing that if we can’t get the deal done soon, they may be waiting for months before the next suitable opportunity comes along…and that’s what our team at Barry Plant Thomastown was able to do this week, not once but twice!
One of these occurred during our last auction for 2024 which fittingly took place on the last Saturday before Christmas. This involved a three-bedroom home at 128 Casey Drive in Lalor, where four motivated buyers traded bids all the way to $650,000 to secure their place in a well-located pocket near Lalor Plaza. A competitive auction saw a young couple emerge victorious and, as you can see from the photo, both buyers and sellers were very happy with the result.
Earlier in the week, our team was also able to finalise the sale of a thoughtfully updated two-bedroom front unit in central cul-de-sac in Lalor. Nestled within a short stroll of Lalor Recreational Reserve, 1/21 Ethel Avenue was also sold to a young couple who were thrilled to be able to start planning their move into their own home.
The doors to our office are now temporarily closed while the team takes a short break over the festive season, but the good news is we’ll be back on deck on Monday January 6th, ready to assist you with all of your property dealings in 2025.
In the meantime, I’d like to wish you a safe and relaxing break. I hope the next week or two brings you countless reasons to smile and creates lots of happy memories to recall throughout the coming year.
Best wishes,
Con Constantinou
