Will we see an early Spring?
It might seem a little odd to be talking about the arrival of Spring after a week of such ‘wintery’ conditions, but the level of buyer activity in the City of Hume in recent times has suggested that we may well be seeing an early start to the official Spring market this year.
In fact, as you can see from the summary below of recent sales activity by our team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park, the majority of this week’s scheduled auctions had all reached very satisfying conclusions well before the auctioneers were due to raise their gavels.
They included:
Dallas: 18 Mirboo Court. Potential was the word on most buyer’s lips when they inspected this three-bedroom home (pictured) tucked away near the end of a court close to the school and Dallas Shopping Centre. It sold more than a week before the scheduled auction at $552,000.
Kealba: 7 Jenkins Court. This updated single-level four-bedroom home near Brimbank Park sold well before offers were due to close on a highly effective Sale by Set Date® campaign. The keys changed hands at $700,000.
Tullamarine: 4 Stradishall Way. This entry-level three-bedroom home was another to attract the interest of multiple buyers due to its obvious future potential. The convenient location added to the appeal, with the contracts being inked at $475,000.
Tullamarine: 17/1 Millar Road. Part of the popular Summer Place development, this three-bedroom townhouse was another to find new owners well before this week’s scheduled auction. Offering a peaceful low maintenance lifestyle, this neat two-storey haven achieved $565,000 in an early result.
With results like these being completed so recently, you may be thinking about your own property plans for 2024. Just keep in mind that we are now half-way through Winter, which means that the official start of Spring is now just seven weeks away.
This means that anyone keen to make the most of the early Spring market, (when history tells us that sellers tend to achieve the best results), will need to start making preparations soon. So if you need any advice or assistance to ensure you don’t miss the boat, give our team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park a call this week on 9330 1088.
