With all that’s been happening in the property market in 2024, there were quite a few observers who wondered whether this year’s Spring selling season would generate the usual surge in buyer activity that we’ve seen in the past.

Well, based on the recent results by our team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park, it seems that these concerns were unfounded.

As we forecast in LAST WEEK'S POST, our In-Room Auctions which we conducted last Tuesday evening, (September 10th) provided a positive snapshot of what’s happening in the market in the City of Hume and surrounding suburbs. When you add some of our other recent sales results, it’s clear that the Spring market of 2024 is up and running for both sellers and buyers to enjoy.

Among our recent results were:

Greenvale: 52 Dorrington Street. Attracting interest from a mix of first home buyers, downsizers and investors, this modern single-level three-bedroom home (pictured) made a strong impact on buyers with its outlook over parkland dotted with water features. So strong, in fact, that the SOLD sign went up more than a week before our scheduled auction this weekend after a strong early offer of $630,000.

Pascoe Vale: 8/16-18 Pascoe Street. Productive post-auction negotiations following Tuesday evening’s In-Room event saw the contracts inked on this three-bedroom townhouse located within a short stroll of popular eateries and the Northern Golf Club within 48 hours.

Tullamarine: 4/1 Sycamore Avenue. Situated in the heart of Tullamarine, this well maintained three-bedroom unit attracted spirited competition from four bidders at Tuesday’s auction. As a result the gavel fell at an impressive $608,000 which was around 10 per cent above our happy vendor’s reserve price.

With results like these confirming that the Spring selling season is now an active bonus for anyone planning to make a move in 2024, right now is an ideal time to be putting the wheels in motion for your own property plans.

So if you need any assistance or advice from an agent who is focused on helping you achieve your best possible result, you can give us a call at Barry Plant Gladstone Park this week on 9330 1088.
