Buyers making early moves

As each week passes in 2022, we continue to see further evidence of the underlying confidence that homebuyers have in the property market in the City of Hume.

Not only was our team able to pack away their auction gavels for the week with our scheduled auctions all selling prior, but we were also able to put together some excellent sales through competitive negotiations during the week as well.

One prime example of what has been happening in our local market was demonstrated in the recent sale of a good looking double-storey home in Emily Street in Greenvale.

Situated within walking distance of both Keelonith Primary School and Aitken College, this was a location that had obvious appeal for aa growing family. However, there were a number of features within the home that also had an impact, including the ‘his’n’hers’ walk-in wardrobes in the main bedroom, the well-appointed kitchen with an extensive walk-through pantry, and the impressive array of entertaining spaces indoors and out.

This was a property that attracted immediate interest the moment it hit the market, so it was no surprise to see the SOLD sign go up early at an impressive $1.126 million. As you can see from the photo, it was a result that produced some big smiles during the week.

Of course, the trend towards buyers making early offers is not restricted to the million-dollar-plus bracket, with our scheduled auction of a unit in Westmeadows also finding buyers during the week…but more about that in our next Update.

In the meantime, don’t forget that if you’re making plans for the year ahead it’s important that you do so with up-to-date and accurate numbers. So if you’d like an update on what your property could achieve in the current market, our team is ready and happy to assist you with this. Why not give us a call this week at Barry Plant Gladstone Park on 9330 1088.
