Spring Market Insights: A Surge in Buyer Activity and Growing Confidence

As we move from winter into spring, the marketplace has come alive with a noticeable increase in buyer activity. Compared to the slower winter months, spring has seen a surge in interest, with more buyers actively searching and shortlisting properties. One of the key drivers behind this shift is the growing optimism around potential interest rate drops next year, which has instilled confidence in buyers looking to secure their homes sooner rather than later.

At Barry Plant Manningham and Eastern Group, we've seen this renewed energy firsthand. During the winter, we were meeting around 700 buyers every weekend, but that number has now jumped to over 1,000. Auction attendance is up, and we're seeing more bidders per property—clear signs that the market is gaining momentum as buyers feel the urgency to make decisions faster.

This past week has been particularly exciting for our team, not just because of the positive trends in the market but also due to our recognition at the Barry Plant Awards for Excellence. Barry Plant Manningham Eastern Group was honoured with the prestigious Victoria Number One Office title once again, showcasing the top-tier talent and unwavering client-first approach that defines our group.
