A stylish tri-level home has smashed the price record in a Melbourne northeast suburb.

The home at 35 Highpoint Crescent, Eltham North on 1391 sqm nabbed a $2.89 million result on February 22, raising the price record in Eltham North by more than $420,000. The previous record was for 63 Banks Road which fetched $2,468,888 in 2021. The four-bedroom property is on a 2865sq m block.

This week's private sales and auctions across our Eastern group of offices performed exceptionally well, with strong results being achieved across the board.

Buyers are back out in force with multiple bidders again at auctions and open numbers are at pre-COVID levels.

Is this a sign that the market has stabilised? It seems that way, however, it is still too early to make an official call on it. 

What we do know is that we are meeting over 1,000 buyers a week at the moment and auction success rates are the highest they have been in over a year, which are very good signs of a recovering market.
