At 3pm today we successfully sold at Auction the 15th sale for the week and 67th sold property during our recent 5.0 and 6.0 lockdowns. I am amazed at the amount of buyers currently in the market! We had auctions today that had up to 22 registered bidders. Most auctions took up the whole hour for the bids to reach the final strong sales price.

The auction success rate today once again confirmed the strong buyer confidence at the moment, despite being in lockdown.

Auctioneer Mark DiGiulio said “ buyers are comfortable with online auctions and the technology has made it easier for them to bid remotely. This is assisting buyer participation as buyers can bid from the comfort of their own home during these lockdown times”

The main question I am being asked at the moment is, will this momentum last?

I can’t see it slowing down this year. The stop start market due to lockdowns are not allowing a clear run of sales. This is fuelling strong competition in a market with low property levels.
