In November 2021, the Pat Cronin Foundation had its annual walking event to raise awareness of their mission to end violence and in particular the coward punch.

Covid restrictions meant that their traditional group walk wasn’t possible and so they encouraged supporters to Walk to Anywhere - setting a distance goal and posting photos of their endeavours.

Barry Plant Head Office team decided they would walk to Sydney (distance-wise) and started their campaign by walking in Ruffey Lake Park in Doncaster and were joined by Steve Layt from the Foundation.

Barry Plant CEO, Nigel O’Neil was part of the walk and keen to support such a great organisation. “The work Matt Cronin and his team do in highlighting the potentially deadly outcome of any level of violence, and helping provide guidance to young people to make wise decisions, literally saves lives.”

Part of their support for The Pat Cronin Foundation involves local Barry Plant offices using the community connections - with schools, sporting clubs and community groups, to help the Pat Cronin Foundation deliver their life-saving message to a broad young audience.
