Barry Plant recently hosted its highly anticipated second annual Tech Summit, attracting a wide range of professionals from across the network, including business owners, office managers, property managers and sales agents

With a focus on helping attendees "Be Prepared for the Future Whilst Embracing the Present," the event delved deep into the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technology, providing both visionary insights and practical applications.

The summit featured an impressive lineup of industry experts who showcased how emerging AI technologies are set to revolutionise the real estate sector. Hosted by Barry Plant’s chief technology officer Darren McCoy and digital experience manager Emma Smith, the event was a resounding success, offering a blend of forward-thinking strategies and real-world examples.

“The summit exceeded all expectations and reinforced our commitment to staying at the forefront of technology in real estate,” said Mr McCoy. "In the spirit of the summit, we introduced a voice bot called ‘Grace,’ which reached out to participants for feedback on the summit. We were delighted not only with how ‘Grace’ was implemented but also with the 4.5/5 average rating she recorded! We are gradually testing AI within our organisation through innovative projects like ‘Grace,’ aimed at enhancing client engagement and operational efficiency. As we continue to explore AI-driven solutions like 'Grace,' our goal is to further integrate these technologies into our daily processes, ultimately providing a more seamless and personalised experience for our customers."

“AI and emerging technologies are not just buzzwords—they are reshaping how we do business and our goal is to ensure every member of the Barry Plant network is prepared for the future while continuing to embrace the present.”

Seth Watts (CampaignAgent), an entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience in real estate technology, kicked off the summit and set the bar for what's possible in using AI to market an agent's personal brand. His keynote speech offered exciting glimpses into a future where AI is harnessed in everyday operations, leaving attendees inspired with fresh ideas on how technology could transform their businesses.

Gerard Murtagh (MouldMen), founder of the innovative mould remediation company MouldMen, followed with a captivating session on the real-life applications of AI in business. He shared how integrating AI is driving growth and operational excellence across four states. His talk underscored how even traditional industries can leverage cutting-edge technology to innovate and improve services, highlighting the use of neural networks and deep machine learning—technologies that now underpin modern society.

The summit wasn’t just about business—it also offered some fun and interactive moments. Attendees were treated to a coffee printer machine that could print selfies, headshots, or family photos directly onto the frothed milk of their coffees.

In addition to the keynote addresses, the summit featured a series of engaging breakout sessions led by industry experts, including Adam Campbell (MRI), who provided a chilling insight into the current landscape of cyber attacks. Samantha McLean (Elite Agent) presented how global real estate agencies are already leveraging AI to enhance productivity and streamline operations, while Drew McTavish (Propic) highlighted how Barry Plant’s new AI ‘Grace’ can be implemented today to improve consumer experiences on live listings in the marketplace.

As AI and technology continue to shake up industries around the globe, Barry Plant’s Tech Summit positions the network as a leader in innovation, setting up its agents, offices, and clients for long-term success in an ever-evolving landscape.

Notably, Barry Plant remains the only real estate brand hosting an annual tech summit of this kind, further solidifying its reputation as a forward-thinking leader in the industry.

Mr McCoy added further to this, "With groundbreaking insights, hands-on demonstrations, and cutting-edge technology at their fingertips, attendees left the summit not only inspired but empowered to redefine the future of real estate, making Barry Plant a true trailblazer in the digital transformation of the industry."
