From homes to hearts - Barry Plant auctions for a cause
For seven years, Barry Plant offices in Melbourne’s north have dedicated themselves to auctioning homes for charity, and this year is no exception.
The spotlight now shines on a brand new property that hit the market on August 5th in Mickleham’s Botanical Estate.
Generously donated by Satterley and Henley, the luxury five-bedroom showpiece will go under the hammer at a charity auction on Saturday, September 14th at 11am.
Benefiting My Room Children's Cancer Charity, the auction will take place at 15 Marjoram Street, Mickleham. The proceeds will support families with children undergoing cancer treatment, and be used for medical equipment, clinical care, research, and clinical trials.
The property offers buyers a lavish 40-square house featuring 7-star energy efficiency across its double-storey layout. The Botanical Estate itself boasts over 30ha of meticulously planned open spaces, a future shopping village, sports oval, and convenient connectivity to Melbourne CBD and nearby amenities.
Barry Plant Craigieburn auctioneer Romi Sleiman said Barry Plant has a long-standing commitment to charity house auctions.
“It’s truly rewarding to be part of such a significant event, knowing we are making a difference in such a life-changing way,”he said.
The community has come together in support of the auction, with people contributing time and resources to prepare the home for sale, Sleiman added.
"With extensive media coverage and a strong turnout expected, we anticipate a vibrant auction day,” he said.
“Even with current market fluctuations, we're confident in the property’s appeal and hope to exceed expectations in fundraising for My Room Children's Cancer Charity.
The auction will be heavily promoted by all stakeholders, with Channel 9 running the Footy Show telethon just before the Grand Final, promoting My Room Children's Cancer Charity.
“People tend to dig a little deeper when they know it’s going to a good cause.”
Barry Plant will donate its services throughout the month leading up to the auction, underscoring the Group’s dedication to supporting the community.
