Celebrity Couple Sell Coburg Townhouse
In a notable real estate transaction, TV comedian Rhys Nicholson and former Triple J presenter Kyran Nicholson (formerly Wheatley) have sold their Coburg townhouse.
The double-storey, three-bedroom property at 82A Ross Street, Coburg, which the couple had lovingly renovated since purchasing it in 2017, found a new owner on the last weekend of autumn.
The Nicholsons, known for their vibrant personalities and significant contributions to the Australian entertainment industry, had transformed the townhouse into a stylish and modern living space.
“They bought it brand new and it was very basic, but they have renovated over the past seven years,” selling agent Jarrod Couch said.
Given the celebrity status of the property it attracted attention from the media and was featured in Domain, with whom they filmed this video:
Listed with a price guide of $780,000 to $850,000, the Ross Street property attracted considerable interest from potential buyers. On auction day, two determined bidders competed for the home, demonstrating the strong demand for quality properties in the Coburg area.
The final sale was concluded in post-auction negotiations, with the townhouse selling to a young first-home buyer, marking an exciting new chapter for both the sellers and purchasers.
The sale of 82A Ross Street highlights the appeal of Coburg, a suburb known for its eclectic mix of cultures, vibrant community atmosphere, and convenient access to Melbourne's CBD. The area offers an array of cafes, restaurants, and parks, making it a popular choice for young professionals and families alike.
