A bespoke service for new and past clients has helped propel an Ivanhoe-based agent onto the list of Victoria’s top agents.

Barry Plant Manningham partner James Goulopoulos was recently included on the REB Top 50 Agents Victoria 2023 list.

Barry Plant Manningham director Scott George was also listed among top-selling agents for the third consecutive year by REB, a leading industry resource.

The rankings are based on a range of metrics, including the number of properties sold, total dollar volume and average sale value.

Mr Goulopoulos, rated the No. 1 selling agent across the City of Banyule for three consecutive years, is a relative newcomer to the Barry Plant network.

He will head up the soon-to-open Ivanhoe office, which is part of the Barry Plant Eastern network with offices in Manningham, Blackburn and Eltham.

An agent with a decade’s experience, Mr Goulopoulos secured 80 sales amounting to $108 million or an average of $1.35 million per property.

“It has been an amazing year working with a growing team serving Banyule and Manningham, getting new clients and referrals, plus repeat business,” he said.

“We have both youth and experience and a hunger to grow the business and build customer trust.”

Mr George, a 13-year industry veteran, amassed 94 sales totalling $121 million for an average of $1.29 million.

“2022 was a strong year for the group, and success breeds success, and we have high-performing individuals attracted to work with us,” Mr George said.

“Being around top agents helps the team members pick up the energy and spur them to perform in a good environment.”

Mr George advised young agents to have an attitude of constant learning and patience and to “play the long game” in order to excel in the industry.

Making the list of Top 10 agents was fellow director Mark Di Giulio, who was listed at Number 8, with 151 sales totalling $208 million. Another director, Theo Politis, also made the Top 10 list with $175 million from 98 sales.

Barry Plant Eastern managing director Spiro Drossos congratulated the group’s four agents on making the Top 50 list.
