About Cairnlea
Cairnlea is a Melbourne suburb located in the City of Brimbank local government area, 17 kilometres north-west of Melbourne's Central Business District. At the 2016 Census, Cairnlea had a population of 9,657 people. Neighbouring suburbs include St Albans, Deer Park and Albanvale.
The suburb has only been developed since 1999 and features several man-made lakes and has implemented a suburb-wide stormwater recycling system that feeds all the lakes.
The Cairnlea Shopping Centre provides a number of small shops, a super-clinic, a Coles supermarket (24/7) and a choice of food and dining. Larger shopping centres are in abundance and only a short drive away including Highpoint, Airport West, Brimbank, Watergardens, Keilor - you're really spoilt for choice!

The M80 motorway runs along the southeastern border of Cairnlea. There are three large parks including the Iramoo Wildflower Grasslands Reserve. Cairnlea is home to the Victorian Croquet Club. The Albion Rovers Football Club is the local soccer team.
