We’ve been saying for quite some time now that Autumn is historically a prime time of year to sell a property in Melbourne’s northern corridor, and with the first month of the season now coming to a close it’s safe to say that 2025 is proving to be a prime example of this.

I’m pleased to report that our team at Barry Plant Thomastown has been able to achieve a 100 per cent auction success rate for our vendors in March, with every single property we’ve taken to auction selling under the hammer.

As we said in OUR ARTICLE BACK ON MARCH 1ST, our Autumn kicked off with clear signs of growing buyer confidence and that has continued throughout the weeks since. The latest example occurred at this week’s auction of a modern four-bedroom home in Doreen.

The home on the corner of Agility Court, just around the corner from the Plenty campus of Ivanhoe Grammar School, offered a number of popular attractions for a growing family including well zoned living and entertaining areas indoors and out; an ensuite off the main bedroom; an attractive stone-topped kitchen and a double garage enhanced by an additional side driveway.

This combination attracted interest from a wide variety of buyers, with four separate groups fighting it out at Saturday’s on-site auction. After a spirited bidding duel, the gavel fell at a very pleasing $750,000, a result that produced big smiles all round (as you can see from the photo).

Keep in mind that there is still ample time to make the most of the current favourable market conditions if you’re keen to sell and move on to your next stage of your property journey. The most important element of making this journey a successful one is to be sure to get the right advice and assistance from Day One. So feel free to give our team at Barry Plant Thomastown a call this week on 9466 3233.

Cheers,

Con Constantinou
