If ever there was a stark demonstration of how strongly the property market in the City of Hume has rebounded in 2019, our recent run of record-setting sales results has provided it.

As we mentioned as recently as LAST WEEK'S UPDATE, we have seen several local price records being reset in the past few months, and this week saw yet another one, with the record for the highest house price in Gladstone Park in 2019 being broken by the team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park during the week.

Among the results that everyone is talking about were:

Gladstone Park: 28 North Circular Road

This lovingly maintained three-bedroom home in the Gladstone Park School zone was scheduled to be auctioned this weekend. However, early buyer interest was so strong that three buyers made convincing early offers rather than waiting to do battle in open competition. The result was an outstanding sale during the week at $630,000, well above our happy vendor’s reserve.

Greenvale: 54 Lemonwood Drive

Our recent run of strong results on vacant land continued last week with the successful sale of this corner block of 421sqm in the Maples Estate. Offering parkland views and good access to schools and shops, it sold for a very satisfying $375,000.

Westmeadows: 44 Toora Drive

This potential-filled three-bedroom home was another example of strong early interest producing a strong sale prior to this weekend’s scheduled auction, with first home buyers and investors showing plenty of interest from day one.

Gladstone Park: 14 Henley Drive

This was the result that got everyone in Gladstone Park talking. Once again, strong early interest from multiple buyers resulted in the planned public auction being rescheduled to an in-room auction during the week. Four strong bidders pushed the price all the way to a record-breaking $780,000 which, as we mentioned earlier, is the highest price for the year for a home in Gladstone Park. As you can see from the photo, both buyers and sellers were very happy with the result.
