This week has shown a clear shift in buyer activity, with increased eagerness and competition across our auctions and private sales. Buyers have been more forthcoming with offers and actively bidding at auctions, indicating a renewed confidence in the market.
Out of the 15 auctions we conducted this week, four properties sold prior to auction. Buyers are demonstrating a heightened sense of urgency to secure properties before they hit the auction floor. This eagerness mirrors the market activity we witnessed as we emerged from the pandemic when demand was exceptionally strong.
The improved economic outlook is certainly contributing to this renewed buyer confidence. Family homes, in particular, are in very high demand, especially those located within sought-after school zones. While there is a noticeable influx of subdivided blocks and townhouses on the market, good-quality housing for families remains scarce. This shortage is driving competition and delivering standout results in premier suburbs throughout the area.
